Compatibility & Version Selection

The Rapido 2 ACE ships in two thermistor variants and the replacement must match. The 104NT is the standard NTC thermistor compatible with most Klipper and Marlin configurations without additional setup. The PT1000 is a resistance temperature detector offering higher accuracy and extended temperature range — required if your Rapido 2 ACE shipped with PT1000 and your controller board supports it. Swapping between types requires reconfiguring your firmware thermistor settings.

When Do You Need This?

The thermistor is one of the first components to fail after a hotend jam, a crash, or prolonged high-temperature use — particularly with abrasive filaments. If your Rapido 2 ACE is reading incorrect temperatures, showing thermal runaway errors, or producing inconsistent temperature readings, a thermistor replacement is the first diagnostic step before replacing the full hotend assembly.
