High-Precision 3D Printing Resin for DLP & LCD Printers

This yellow dental implant model resin is engineered specifically for dental lab workflows that demand tight dimensional accuracy, smooth surface finish, and reliable part stability. Whether you are printing implant models, removable dies, or orthodontic study models, this resin delivers consistent results on both DLP and monochrome LCD 3D printers with a 385–405 nm UV light source.

⚠️ Before You Print — Read This First

  • Not for intraoral use. This resin is intended for modeling and lab purposes only. It must never be placed inside a patient's mouth.
  • UV wavelength compatibility: Optimized for printers in the 385–405 nm range (DLP and monochrome LCD). Verify your printer's light source before purchasing.
  • PPE required: Always wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses when handling uncured resin. Work in a well-ventilated area. Uncured resin is an irritant — avoid skin contact.
  • Shake before use: Mix the resin thoroughly before pouring it into the vat to ensure consistent pigment distribution and printing performance.
  • Post-curing is mandatory: Parts must be washed in IPA and UV-cured after printing to achieve final mechanical properties and a non-sticky surface.
  • Storage: Keep the bottle tightly sealed, stored in a cool, dry, and dark place away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

Why Dental Labs Choose This Implant Model Resin

Standard resins often fall short in dental applications because they shrink during curing, making precision fits unreliable. This implant model resin is specifically formulated to minimize dimensional shrinkage, so the model you print matches your CAD file as closely as possible. That accuracy is what makes it suitable for implant planning, crown and bridge fitting, and orthodontic staging.

  • Dimensional stability: Low shrinkage during and after curing ensures that printed models hold their geometry over time — critical for implant analog positioning and die trimming.
  • High-precision surface detail: Captures fine anatomical features needed for accurate dental restorations and prosthetic planning.
  • Fast build speed: Short exposure times per layer reduce total print time without compromising detail — important in high-volume lab environments.
  • Drillable and trimmable: Cured parts can be drilled, trimmed, and post-processed without cracking — ideal for analog insertion, die separation, and model articulation.
  • Good combinatorial assembly: Parts fit together predictably, supporting complex implant model assemblies with removable components.
  • Yellow color: High-contrast yellow makes it easy to photograph models for case documentation and improves visibility of detail under lab lighting.

Dental Applications

This resin is optimized for the following dental lab and clinical uses:

  • Implant analog models and multi-unit implant frameworks
  • Removable dies for crown and bridge restorations
  • Orthodontic staging and study models
  • Alveolar arch models for surgical planning
  • Prosthetic reference and diagnostic models

Recommended Print Settings

⚠️ Note: Every printer behaves differently. The values below are starting-point guidelines for typical monochrome LCD and DLP printers in the 385–405 nm range. Always run a calibration print and adjust exposure times for your specific machine before running production models.

Setting Recommended Range
Layer Height 0.05 mm – 0.10 mm
Normal Exposure Time 2–4 seconds (adjust per printer)
Bottom Layer Exposure 20–40 seconds
Number of Bottom Layers 3–5
Lift Speed Slow — 40–60 mm/min (normal layers)
Support Tip Diameter 0.4–0.6 mm
Anti-Aliasing Recommended — improves surface smoothness
Model Orientation Angled 30–45° to reduce suction forces

Post-Processing Instructions

  1. Remove from build plate carefully using a spatula. Keep gloves on — uncured resin is still present on the surface.
  2. Wash in IPA for 5–10 minutes. Use a dedicated wash station or agitate gently with a soft-bristle brush to remove residual resin from fine detail areas. Avoid over-washing, which can affect surface quality.
  3. Air dry for at least 5 minutes in a well-ventilated area, or use pressurized air to remove IPA from recesses.
  4. Post-cure under UV light for 5–20 minutes depending on your curing station power. Post-curing fully hardens the part and eliminates surface tackiness. Do not over-cure, as excessive UV exposure can cause discoloration or brittleness.
  5. Remove supports and perform any trimming or drilling after post-cure for cleaner break-off points.

Who Is This Resin For?

This implant model resin is the right choice if:

  • You work in a dental laboratory and need reliable, consistent 3D-printed models for implant restorations, crown and bridge work, or orthodontic planning.
  • You own a DLP or monochrome LCD printer with a 385–405 nm UV light source (such as Elegoo, Anycubic, Phrozen, SprintRay, or similar).
  • You need a resin that can be drilled and trimmed without breaking — for example, when inserting implant analogs or separating removable dies.
  • You want a fast-printing, dimensionally stable material that doesn't require complex print settings to achieve accurate results.

This resin is NOT for you if you need an intraoral-grade or biocompatible material for surgical guides or mouth trays. For those applications, see our Dental Surgical Resin collection.
