Bambu Lab's X1 and P1 series motion systems are built for speed — but the stock hotend is often the bottleneck. E3D's internal nozzle modification increases volumetric flow rate by 60%, letting you either push higher speeds without under-extrusion, or raise the volumetric flow limit in your slicer to finally use the full capability of the motion system.

E3DLC™ Diamond-Like Coating

Every ObXidian HotEnd features E3D's proprietary E3DLC™ coating applied to the nozzle and heater components. This diamond-like carbon coating adds exceptional abrasive resistance for fiber-filled filaments and creates a non-stick surface that prevents plastic buildup on the nozzle — keeping flow consistent across long print sessions.

Compatible Filaments

The ObXidian coating is optimized for abrasive materials including carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark, and glitter-filled filaments. Short-run metal and ceramic-filled filaments can be used, though prolonged use with these may cause gradual wear. For standard PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and ASA, this hotend is simply overkill — in the best way.

What is the maximum printing temperature?

Can I cold pull the ObXidian High Flow HotEnd?
Yes. The E3DLC coating withstands the force of a cold pull, though it can be slightly more challenging than a standard nozzle due to the internal construction.

Are there material limitations?
Any filament compatible with E3D Revo or V6 ObXidian nozzles works here. It's optimized for fiber-filled, glow-in-the-dark, and glitter filaments. Short periods with metal or ceramic-filled filaments are fine, but prolonged use may still cause wear.

Do I need to PID tune after installing?
No PID tuning required.

Is this compatible with E3D Revo nozzles?
No — the ObXidian High Flow uses the stock Bambu nozzle format to maintain drop-in compatibility. If you want Revo nozzle compatibility on a Bambu printer, look into the Revo Panda by BIQU instead.
