Large-Format 4K LCD Dental 3D Printer | Dual Platform | Lab & Chairside

The Shining 3D AccuFab-L4K is a large-format 4K LCD dental 3D printer designed for labs and clinics that need to produce a high volume of accurate models without babysitting the machine. It prints fast, it stays accurate print after print, and it is built to last through years of daily clinical use.

With a 192 × 120 mm build platform, 4K resolution, and a built-in cooling system tested to over 5 million layers of real clinic operation, the AccuFab-L4K is the kind of printer you configure once and trust completely.

⚠️ Important — Read Before Printing

  • Ventilation required: Always operate in a well-ventilated space. Resin fumes accumulate quickly in enclosed rooms.
  • PPE mandatory: Wear nitrile gloves and UV-protective eyewear every time you handle uncured resin — no exceptions.
  • Environment matters: Recommended printing conditions are 20°C – 35°C and 30% – 70% relative humidity. Printing in cold or damp conditions causes failed prints and wasted resin. Check your environment before every session.
  • Resin tank film: Replace the FEP film after 30,000 layers. Printing past this limit increases the risk of print failures and platform damage.
  • Post-processing is required: Every print must be washed and UV-cured before clinical use. Uncured resin is not biocompatible and is not safe for patient contact.
  • Resin certification: Confirm that the resin you use holds the appropriate certifications (ISO 10993 or equivalent) for your specific clinical application. Not all 405nm resins are cleared for intraoral use.

What "4K Resolution" Actually Means for a Dental Print

Imagine your build plate is a mosaic made of thousands of tiny tiles. Each tile is one pixel. The smaller the tile, the finer the detail your printer can reproduce.

The AccuFab-L4K's 4K screen breaks the large 192 × 120 mm platform into a dense grid of pixels — fine enough to capture margin lines, interproximal contacts, and implant geometries with an accuracy where over 96% of all surface points land within ±0.1 mm of the design file. That is the kind of precision that produces models you can actually use chairside, not models that need sanding or correction before they are workable.

It also achieves up to 90% light uniformity across the entire platform — meaning the edges of your build plate cure just as accurately as the center. Most labs waste the outer edges of their print area because precision drops there. The L4K does not.

The Cooling System That Protects Your Screen — And Your Investment

Here is something most dental printer spec sheets will not tell you directly: LCD screens die from heat. Every time the light source fires through the panel, it generates heat. Without active management, that heat degrades the screen over months, causing uneven curing, accuracy drift, and eventually screen failure.

The AccuFab-L4K includes a District Cooling System (DCS) — think of it like a radiator for your printer's screen. It actively draws heat away from the LCD panel and keeps it below 40°C even during long, back-to-back print sessions.

The difference this makes in practice: Shining 3D validated the L4K to 5 million layers of continuous printing under real dental clinic conditions before releasing it. That is not a lab stress test — it is the equivalent of years of daily production use, proving the machine holds its accuracy and does not break down when your schedule depends on it.

Two Build Platforms — One Printer

The AccuFab-L4K ships with two interchangeable ceramic build platforms, giving you full workflow flexibility without buying a second machine:

  • Large platform (192 × 120 mm): Full arch models, batches of orthodontic models, multiple surgical guides in a single run — maximum throughput when you need to move fast
  • Small platform (70 × 70 mm): Individual crowns, precise surgical guides, wax-up patterns — smaller jobs where you want every millimeter of the print area dedicated to one high-value part

Both platforms use a ceramic surface that resists resin adhesion, making removal cleaner and reducing the micro-damage to prints that occurs when prying parts off standard aluminum plates.

AccuWare Software — Free, For Life

The AccuFab-L4K runs on AccuWare, Shining 3D's dental print preparation software — included at no extra cost, with free updates for the lifetime of the machine. No annual subscription, no surprise licensing fees.

  • One-click printing: Import your scan file → auto-generate supports → send to printer. Three steps. The software handles the rest.
  • Built-in design modules: CreSplint, CreIBT, AccuDesign, and CreTemp are built directly into AccuWare — design splints, indirect bonding trays, study models, and temporaries without switching to a separate application
  • Accuracy calibration wizard: A step-by-step guided process for re-calibrating the printer — no technician visit required
  • Dental Cloud integration: Send files wirelessly from your scanner or CAD workstation directly to the printer; share jobs between clinic and lab without USB drives or manual file handling

Open Material System

The AccuFab-L4K is an open resin platform. It works with Shining 3D's own Shining Dent material line — which covers dental models, ortho models, surgical guides, castable wax, and gingiva masks — as well as validated third-party 405nm dental resins from certified material partners. You are not locked into a single supplier.

Clinical Applications

  • Orthodontic models and clear aligner thermoforming bases
  • Implant surgical guides
  • Dental working models and diagnostic models
  • Crown & bridge temporaries and try-ins
  • Castable wax patterns
  • Gingiva masks and soft tissue models
  • Customized impression trays
  • Indirect bonding trays and bracket transfer trays
  • Splints and occlusal guards

Who Is This For?

The Shining 3D AccuFab-L4K is built for dental professionals who are serious about digital production and need a machine that performs consistently — not just on launch day, but every working day after that:

  • Dental labs running high-volume workflows: the large 192 × 120 mm platform and fast throughput let you run full batches of arch models, surgical guides, and ortho models in a single session without compromising accuracy
  • Chairside clinics wanting in-house production: the one-click printing workflow and Dental Cloud integration mean your team spends minutes setting up a print job, not hours — same-day models and guides become the standard, not the exception
  • Orthodontic practices: producing aligner models and indirect bonding trays in-house at 4K accuracy eliminates the cost and delay of outsourcing while maintaining the precision your cases require
  • Implantologists: consistent surgical guide accuracy print after print, backed by a cooling system that keeps the machine performing at spec through years of heavy clinical use
  • Labs entering digital dentistry for the first time: AccuWare's guided setup, one-click printing, and free lifetime software updates mean you are not on your own after the purchase — the system is designed to grow with your team's skill level
