Fremover Rainbow Silk PLA+ — Full Spectrum Metallic Brilliance

The Fremover Rainbow Silk PLA+ Filament 1.75mm produces the most vibrant full-spectrum metallic prints in our collection. Fremover's silk formulation is known for its deep, saturated colors, and the rainbow variant takes that intensity across the entire color spectrum — transitioning through reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and violets with a consistent metallic silk sheen throughout. High speed compatible up to 300mm/s, vacuum-sealed with desiccant, 1kg spool.

If you want maximum visual impact with zero effort, rainbow silk is the filament. Every layer brings a different metallic hue, creating prints that look hand-painted by a professional. It is the most popular silk filament for maker markets, Etsy shops, TikTok content, and gift items — because the result speaks for itself.

Fremover Rainbow vs. IIID Max Rainbow — What's the Difference?

Both produce full-spectrum rainbow effects with a silk metallic finish. The key difference is in color saturation and transition style. Fremover's formulation tends to produce deeper, more saturated metallic tones with slightly longer color segments. IIID Max Rainbow offers smooth, flowing transitions with a balanced metallic sheen. Both are excellent — the choice comes down to personal preference for color intensity vs. smoothness of transition. Try our IIID Max Rainbow Silk to compare.

Print Tips for Rainbow Silk

For the most dramatic rainbow effect, print models taller than 10cm — this ensures multiple complete color cycles from base to top. Use 215-225°C nozzle / 60°C bed / 50-70% fan for the best metallic sheen. Layer height of 0.20mm gives the best balance between detail and color transitions.

For a more controlled multicolor effect, try Dual Silk (two-tone) or Tri-Color Silk (three-tone). For single metallic colors, browse our Silk PLA collection. Compare all materials in our 3D Printing Filaments guide.
