2 Meters for Voron 2.4 & Trident (2020 Extrusions)

If you're building or upgrading a Clicky Clack Door (CCD) on your Voron 2.4 or Voron Trident, this is the rubber seal you need. This 2-meter strip sits inside the slot of your 2020 aluminum extrusions and grips the edges of your acrylic panel — holding it firmly in place while creating a cleaner, tighter door assembly.

One 2-meter length is enough to go around all four sides of a standard Clicky Clack Door frame. It's the same panel retainer called out in the official CCD BOM, so there's no guesswork — just cut, fit, and done.

What Does This Rubber Seal Actually Do?

Think of it like the rubber trim inside a car door — it fills the gap between the metal frame and the glass. In your Voron door, it fills the slot of the 2020 extrusion and squeezes around the edge of your acrylic panel. This does two things:

  • Holds the panel in place — no rattling, no shifting, no loose acrylic.
  • Creates a tighter seal — improves chamber enclosure, which helps when printing ABS, ASA, Nylon, or any filament that needs heat retention.

How to Install — Quick Overview

  1. Cut four lengths — measure each side of your door frame. Cut corners at a 45° miter angle for clean joints. Print the community miter guide if you want precise cuts.
  2. Push the seal onto the panel edges first — slide each strip onto the edge of the acrylic before assembling the extrusions. This is much easier than inserting the seal after the frame is built.
  3. Slide the extrusions onto the seal — the shorter extrusions go on first, then the longer ones. The seal fits snugly, so work one end at a time.
  4. Don't over-insert — once a section of seal is in the extrusion slot, it won't slide easily. Start from one end and work your way down.

⚠️ Pro tip from the community: If your panel is thinner than 3mm, print small wedge shims to push the panel forward so it presses firmly against the seal. This ensures a proper hold with no play.

Who Is This For?

  • Voron 2.4 or Trident builders installing the Clicky Clack Door mod for the first time.
  • Voron owners replacing a worn or damaged panel retainer — the seal does compress over time.
  • Anyone printing ABS, ASA, or Nylon who wants a tighter chamber seal to hold heat and reduce warping.
  • Builders using 2020 extrusions in any custom enclosure build that needs a clean, flexible panel retainer.

2 meters. One door. No more loose panels.
