Wood PLA filament combines a PLA base with real wood fiber particles to produce 3D prints that look, feel, and even smell like actual wood. Each spool contains a carefully blended composite that mimics the grain texture and warm appearance of natural timber — no painting or finishing required out of the box.

What Makes Wood PLA Special?

Unlike standard PLA filament with a smooth plastic finish, wood PLA prints have a matte, organic texture. The wood fibers create subtle grain patterns that vary slightly from layer to layer — much like real wood. You can also adjust the temperature between 190–220°C to change the "shade": lower temperatures produce lighter tones, higher temperatures create a darker, almost burnt-wood effect within the same spool.

Printing Recommendations

Print at 190–220°C with a 0.4mm or larger nozzle (wood fibers can clog smaller nozzles). No heated bed required, though 50–60°C helps adhesion. Layer heights of 0.2mm or more work best to showcase the wood texture. Avoid long retractions to prevent clogging.
